Orange and Mobile-XL, an SMS-based browser platform used in developing markets, have launched a portal to give the operator’s customers in Cameroon access to online content.

The XL Live USSD Portal enables all mobile users, even those without a data plan or data-enabled device, access to services like Facebook. This is more than 90 per cent of Orange customers in the country. Users will just need to dial #142# to get access to football news, information and entertainment content as well as health related services.
