Orange Partners with Spotify in Switzerland

Spotify has partnered with Orange in Switzerland, to add its music streaming service to the operators Orange Young tariffs.

The partnership includes a year of Spotify subscription with the Orange Young bundles available exclusively to under-27s. Most interestingly, data consumed by streaming songs via Spotify apparently won’t count towards a user’s mobile data usage.

The deal could help Spotifys exposure in the country, and provides a value-added service for Orange to help incentivise these bundles.

Its worth noting that, in the UK, a similar deal is offered through Oranges Swapables rewards scheme – but through a partnership with Deezer, a rival service to Spotify, which has also partnered with Orange for African tie-in schemes.
