Orange UK Appoints Blyk to Run Orange Shots

Blyk has been appointed by Orange UK to manage all elements of the operator’s media sales program for its Orange Shots opt-in mobile advertising service.

Blyk has worked with Orange since 2007, and extended that relationship by exclusively providing its Blyk media service in 2009. More recently Blyk has provided strategic support for the creation, deployment and on-going management of the operator’s media and advertising messaging propositions. Blyk will now build a media sales function in the UK dedicated to Orange Shots, which enables brands to target segments of the Orange customer base on their phones.

Blyk has announced several new hires in support of the Orange contract, including Shaun Jordan, who joins as sales director from Ids, plus Eoghan Blake and Ryan Carter, who also join the sales team.
