PacketVideo has launched its Twonky Beam Browser video streaming app for the iPad and Android tablets. Twonky Beam Browser enables users to view web videos on their tablet and beam them directly to any internet-connected TV wirelessly.
The Twonky Beam Browser homepage lists recommended websites with videos available to beam. Users can also browse other websites. Beamable videos are indicated with a Twonky Beam button.
With the video displayed on the internet-connected TV, you can control playback from your tablet. You can find and add as many videos to the beam queue as you want and beam them right away, or bookmark them for later viewing. And you can beam video embedded in news articles to your TV instantly while you continue to read the article on your tablet.
“All of our Twonky products are created to improve the digital experience, and since tablets represent a new platform for engaging with digital content, they’re a natural extension for us,” says PacketVideo CTO, Osama Al-Shaykh Twonky. “Beam Browser makes it easy to discover new video content and have the best possible viewing experience by instantly beaming it from the tablet to the TV.”
