Parker Takes Lanetro Zed Country Manager Role

LaNetro Zed, which provides Mobile Value-Added Services (MVAS) content
and applications, has announced the appointment of Andrew Parker as
Country Manager for the UK. Andrews role will be to further develop
the Club Zed consumer brand and business in the UK, and to build up a
selected distribution network for Zeds range of content and
applications.
Before joining LaNetro, Parker spent five years at Hutchison 3G as Head
of Entertainment Products, where he was responsible for setting up its
3G mobile entertainment services. While at 3, he pioneered the UKs
first major mobile operator agreement with BMG Music and managed the
first mobile premier video release with EMI.
In the late 1990s, Parker was Marketing Director for Norweb Telecom, a
140m Manchester business telecoms network. Prior to that, he set up
the premium rate services business for Cable & Wireless.
Zed already has a huge footprint in terms of global reach and
experience in mobile content, so Im excited to be coming on board at
this time to help drive the UK business forward says Parker. We have
a number of products on the way which will see Zed become more than
just a mobile content provider and take advantage of the growth of
digital entertainment.
