Path Talk Lets Users Text Local Businesses

Location-based social network Path has updated its Path Talk messaging app with the ability to communicate directly with local businesses.
Users can search for a nearby shop or restaurant and start a text message conversation. So, you might choose to make reservations, or ask about stock availability and prices – and its at this point which Paths approach gets a little unusual. Rather than the business responding directly, one of Paths own agents will make the phone call on the users behalf, and text back the answer. 
“We built Places to help you save time and get things done,” reads Paths announcement. “Giving you more freedom to focus on things that matter to you. Our intention is that it brings you happiness and a more meaningful, personal connection with the local businesses that are a big part of your life, too.”
