Paytm and InMobi Partner for Accelerated mCommerce in India

paytm comboIndias largest mCommerce platform, Paytm, has announced a multi-level partnership with InMobi in an effort to “turbo charge the mobile commerce ecosystem” in India and expand its discovery capabilities.

The 60,000 merchants using the Paytm marketplace will now be be able to reach mobile consumers using InMobis Miip commerce platform, increasing their potential audience by around 120m customers and growing their businesses by up to threefold.

The deal enables InMobi to increase the population of its platform, resulting in more quality products and growing the advertising opportunities on the Miip eCommerce channel. The partnership is expected to be worth $300m (£192m) to both companies over the next 12 months.

The partnership will also see buy buttons added to Miip interfaces in thousands of apps using Paymt Wallet technology, which boasts over 100m users, creating streamlined shopping for consumers and ensuring minimum payment failures for merchants.
