PeanutizeMe Campaign Promotes Movie with Customisable Charlie Brown Avatars

PeanutizeMeTwentieth Century Fox has launched Peanutizeme.com, a microsite promoting the launch of its forthcoming Peanuts movie.

Peanutizeme gives users the chance to create an avatar, in the style of the Charles Schulz cartoon – or at least, the films CG version – with their choice of hair, clothing and other features.

The results can then be downloaded as a profile picture (or wallpaper, if on desktop) and shared via Twitter or Facebook. Its clearly designed to go viral, and its working – Peanutizeme recreations of celebrities have cropped as stories on Entertainment Weekly and DigitalSpy.

The site also features a trailer for the film, and a gallery of other users avatars, though this latter feature doesnt quite work perfectly on mobile.
