Pedigree Books Teams with Zappar for AR Annuals

Super Interactive Annuals3Publisher Pedigree Books has partnered with augmented reality tech company Zappar for a second year to launch a new range of AR-enabled Annuals.

The Super Interactive Annuals 2015 range includes new title Temple Run, along with Angry Birds, Angry Birds Stella and Angry Birds Star Wars. Readers can use the Zappar app at 10 different points in each of the Annuals, unlocking exclusive content including interactive covers, colouring games, character profiles and poster creations.

The first run of AR-enabled Annuals, which were launched in 2013, saw over 800,000 zaps, with 150,000 made on Christmas Day alone.

“We are always looking for new ways to stay ahead of the competition and by working with Zappar we can ensure content is kept fresh and engaging,” said Matthew Reynolds, publishing and sales director at Pedigree. “By adding the popular title Temple Run and new features, we hope to see results as exciting as last years where readers continued to zap over weekends and school holidays.”
