Our Effective Mobile Marketing Awards celebrate the best and brightest that the industry has to offer, and as a part of that, we think its important that the industry itself has a voice in who receives our coveted awards.
With that in mind, our Peoples Choice categories let the mobile marketing industry vote for a winner from our shortlist of deserving nominees. Voting has already begun, but this week, well be shining a spotlight on each of the different Peoples Choice categories to give you more information before you make your decision.

Rising Star
Michelle Bayara, Campaign Manager, Rocket – Born in Rwanda, Michelle achieved a BA (Hons) in Media Practice & Theory, Communication and Media Studies from the University of Sussex in 2010 and immediately entered the industry. She worked as a media planner/buyer at Arena Media UK, where she dealt with clients including TK Maxx and Eurostar, and senior account executive at MediaCom, where her clients included National Express and the NEC Group. She joined Rocket as a campaign manager in April 2016, and serves as the day-to-day point of contact for Ferrero, with brands under her responsibility including Nutella and Thorntons.
Nnamdi David, Media Strategy Director, MullenLowe Mediahub – Nnamdi has been at Mullen Lowe Profero for five years, progressing from an account executive to account director before moving into strategy for the business after serving as a key part of seven pitch-winning teams in 2014 and 2015. He has won and mentored a winning team for Profero Uni, the firm’s proprietary training course for pitching, and is heavily involved in the media department’s training teams. Currently, he heads up the EMEA strategy for six key clients, aligning their media strategies across multiple business arms in channels including programmatic, social and digital display.
James Fox, Communications Planning Director, MEC UK – James knows all about connecting with an audience, having graduated from the University of Exeter with a BA (Hons) in Drama back in 2011. While at university, he also served as vice president of participation and campuses for the student’s guild, and played cricket for the university team. He swiftly moved into marketing, getting a place in MEC’s graduate scheme and taking part in Google’s Squared initiative, which aims to empower the next generation of industry leaders. Since joining MEC UK, he has risen swiftly through the Communications Planning team, becoming director in November 2016 and working with clients including EE and Netflix.
Ann-Marie Loughney, Digital Development and Technology Associate Director, OMD UK – Another Rising Star to take part in Google’s Squared programme, Ann-Marie has progressed rapidly through the ranks at OMD UK, joining through the firm’s graduate training scheme and working with a wide variety of global brands including McDonald’s, Hasbro, Rimmel, PepsiCo and EasyJet. As part of the firm’s Digital Development and Technology team, she helps to accelerate digital across the agency, working especially closely with PepsiCo to continually evolve their digital presence and ensure the brand adopts the trends and platforms that suit its image.
Craig Murray, CEO, Craig Murray Digital – Craig started his career building websites for SMEs, conducting SEO for companies, and running and implementing campaigns for non-profits. After stints at Game On Media, Europcar Ireland and Flimber Media, he decided to launch his own freelance digital marketing agency, catering to SMEs in Ireland and around the world. Since September 2016, the company has acquired over 250 clients and been named as one of Ireland’s fastest growing digital marketing firms, while Craig himself can also boast a Masters in Digital Marketing from the Dublin Institute of Marketing.
Graham Wood, Head of Design, Somo – As head of design at Somo, Graham has helped steer the digital presence of numerous global brands. He began his career as a self-employed web designer and digital producer before joining Deloitte as a senior consultant. He moved into their Deloitte Digital unit in 2012 and progressed to Design Lead, before moving to Somo in April 2017. He is focused on helping clients bring about innovation-driven digital transformation, with a relentless focus on users, and has worked with brands including Tesco, Waitrose, Eastpak and Zurich Insurance.
