Persil Encourages Kids to Play Out with Wild Explorers App

Detergent brand Persil has launched Persil Wild Explorers, an iOS and Android app designed to encourage kids to play outside.

Part of the brand's '#dirtisgood' campaign, the app was created in partnership with The Wild Network, an initiative dedicated to facilitating outdoor play.

Targeted at the reported 40 per cent of parents who avoid outdoor play because they're not sure what to do, Wild Explores features a list of over 100 free outdoor activities for children – ranging from finding spider webs to building a tower out of stones. These can filtered by location, duration and age of the child, or shuffled to pick a random one, and as each activity is marked as completed, they're added to a profile that tracks the user's total 'wild time'.
