Pets at Home is ditching paper and plastic loyalty in favour of implementing a digital offering that spans product collection and coupon campaigns.
The company will now be able to target, track and optimise the coupons it sends out to members of its Very Important Pet Club. It believes this will reduce the cost of running the programme, which was launched in 2012, and prevent pet food fraud. They also hope that more personalised offers will increase footfall to its stores.
Using Eagle Eyes AIR platform, the company will also be able to improve click and collect services by notifying customers by SMS when a product they are waiting for arrives in store. Staff members will simply need to scan the product barcode to contact the customer, who is then able to use the text as a proof of purchase.
Pets At Home has been growing its range of services in the UK in order to attract more shoppers and is currently expanding its pet grooming and vet operations.
