PingTune Brings Musical Messaging to Android

Music-focused private messaging app PingTune has launched on Android.
The free app, which first launched on iOS six months ago, enables users to search for songs on YouTube or Soundcloud and send them directly to friends.
“We have created a beautiful and effortlessly simple solution, PingTune is the easiest way to share music with friends”, said PingTune founder Henry Firth. “We’re expecting large-scale adoption of PingTune from younger smartphone users who make up a significant proportion of the Android and messaging market, so this is a really exciting time for us.” 
PingTunes userbase on Android is still relatively small – the app has seen between 5-10,000 downloads from Google Play. While the company wasnt able to share its App Store download figures, it says 25 per cent of PingTunes iOS users access the app every day.
