Pinterest has launched advertising in its first non-English speaking country, bringing its Pinterest Ads program to France.
Users in France save over 3m ideas on Pinterest each day, according to the social network. With the launch of Pinterest Ads in the nation, businesses in France will be able to use Promoted Pins to reach all those sharing ideas and gaining inspiration every day.
“We believe our ads program brings a special value in advertising by enabling brands to reach people who are actively considering what to do or buy next but haven’t decided who to buy from,” said Adrien Boyer, France country manager at Pinterest. “It is this intent, which is early in the buying process that is different than any other platform. Now, all businesses can use Promoted Pins to reach people in France while they’re discovering relevant, useful ideas on Pinterest.”
Early partners for Pinterest Ads in France include Guerlain, Tiptoe, Picard, Louis Vuitton, and Air France. These companies are said to have all increased brand awareness and achieved sales goals through the offering.
With the launch in France, Promoted Pins are now available in seven countries including the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Ireland, and New Zealand.
