PistonHeads Goes Mobile

Mobile marketing agency The YOC Group has created a mobile website for Haymarket Consumer Medias PistonHeads magazine. The launch follows a deal that YOC signed in March with Haymarket to create mobile websites for a number of the companys publications including PistonHeads, What Car?, Autocar and Stuff.tv. PistonHeads.com is one of the biggest and fastest growing online communities in the automotive sector, with 2.5 million unique visitors each month.
The mobile website for PistonHeads can be accessed at mobile.pistonheads.com from over 400 handsets. The mobile site automatically recognises the handset used and deploys a bespoke design for each device. YOC designed and built the site, and will also manage the ad sales and create mobile marketing campaigns to generate awareness to drive traffic.
The launch of mobile.pistonheads.com using YOCs technology and specialist sales resource is the first step for Haymarket toward a robust commercial strategy in the mobile space, says
