Pitch’d Launches Video Competition Platform for Brands

Pitch’d has launched a web-based platform that enables brands to create Vine, Instagram and MixBit competitions for their fans ‘in a matter of minutes’.

While brands have already started using Instagram and Vine to create more engagement with younger audiences, most will be new to Mixbit. It is a mobile-first, collaborative video editing app launched this month by YouTube co-founders Chad Hurley and Steve Chen.

Brands can customise the front-end of the Pitchd platform to fit the competition or integrate the companys API into their native mobile apps. To enter a Pitch’d-powered contest, people Tweet their video short @mentioning the participating brand and using a specific campaign #hashtag.

The back-end analytics dashboard enables brands to monitor competition leaderboards across Facebook and Twitter on both mobile and desktop.

A closed beta of Pitchd has been running for the last six months. The RSPCA created a test project #HappyPet with social media marketing and PR agency 33Seconds. The competition received 600 entries.

Pitch’d is offering a limited number of subscription packages for digital marketing agencies starting from £749 plus VAT per month, while its standard pay-per-contest pricing begins at £1,795 plus VAT.
