Pizza Express marketing director Emma Woods has been confirmed as the latest retail speaker at the Mobile Retail Summit, which takes place at the Grange St. Paul’s in London on 24 April. She joins Sienne Veit from Morrisons, Sean McKee from Schuh, Roger Wade from Boxpark, and Matthew Hopkinson from The Local Data Company, plus speakers from Brainstorm, Trademob, Millennial Media, Urban Airship, myThings, The Weather Channel, and many more.
The event is divided into four sessions: On Device, Driving Footfall, In-store, and The Future. Woods will be speaking in the In-store session, talking about how Pizza Express’s in-store mobile initiatives have been received by their customers. The company has introduced free wi-fi in its restaurants, and its app includes a payment facility that enables Pizza Express customers who are in a hurry to pay for their meal before it has even arrived.
The event has also attracted its latest sponsors. mBlox has signed up as a Silver Sponsor, while Somo has signed up as a Case Study sponsor. Recent retailer signups include Greggs, Debenhams, Boots, Toys ‘R’ Us, Mr Porter.com, and Crew Clothing.
Following the event, in the evening, we will be handing out trophies in our inaugural Mobile Retail Awards. The deadline for entries is just over a week away: Thursday 28 March.
