PizzaExpress To Offer Free Wi-fi

PizzaExpress is to offer free wi-fi in its 384 UK restaurants. The wi-fi will be provide by The Cloud, which already provides similar services to McDonalds, Prêt a Manger and JD Wetherspoon, with a network of over 4,500 public access hotspots across the country.

“We believe today’s wi-fi roll-out will genuinely improve our customers’ experience of eating out at PizzaExpress,” says  PizzaExpress IT Director, John Sullivan. “The roll-out satisfies growing consumer demand for free access to the web in our restaurants, and the convenience and flexibility that brings. As a market leader PizzaExpress will continue to embrace technology opportunities to improve our customers’ experience.”

The Cloud chief executive, Steve Nicholson, says the company’s experience suggests that businesses that offer their customers quality wireless connectivity reap the benefits in terms of great customer satisfaction and loyalty. “Customers no longer see fast and reliable wireless connectivity as a luxury; they see it as an essential part of their interaction across the high street and beyond – whether pubs, hotels, restaurants or coffee shops,” says Nicholson.
