Placecast Shortlisted for Webby Award

Placecast, the location-based platform designed to use digital marketing to drive consumers into physical environments, has been named a Webby Award Official Honoree in the Best Use of GPS or Location Technology category.

The 14th Annual Webby Awards received almost 10,000 entries from all 50 US states and over 60 countries worldwide. Webby Award winners are chosen by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences, whose members include David Bowie, Arianna Huffington, Matt Groening, Vinton Cerf and Biz Stone. Past winners have included Amazon.com, eBay, Yahoo!, iTunes, Google,  BBC News, CNN and Flickr.
