Playstation unveils updated VR headset

PlayStation VRPlayStation has revealed a new VR headset that sees small, but positive, changes made to its headset. It features HDR pass through and integrated headphone cables.

The device’s processor unit has been updated to enable users to enjoy HDR-compatible PS4 content on a TV without the need to disconnect the unit as previously. With the integration of the headphone cables, it means there are less cables hanging around while the user is moving. On top of that, the connection cable has been made slimmer and more streamlined.

The new PlayStation VR headset, model number CUH-ZVR2, will go on sale in Japan on 14 October at hundreds of stores across the nation and will cost 44,980 yen plus tax. It has not yet been announced when we can expect to see the headset in other markets, or the pricing in those other markets – but PS VR bundles will remain the same price.
