Pokemon Go EggstravaganzaJust in time for the Easter weekend, Niantic has confirmed the commencement of the Pokémon Go Eggstravaganza – though it hasn’t given fans much time to catch wind of the event, with the special event kicking today (13 April) at 1pm PDT.

Running until 1pm PDT on 20 April 2017, the Eggstravaganza will offer players a greater variety of Pokémon available to be found in 2km eggs, and also reward players with more candy for every egg that they hatch.

In addition, throughout the special event, players will be able level up faster with double XP – with the opportunity to earn four times the normal XP if they hatch a lucky egg, which are 50 per cent off from the in-game shop.

“Lace up your walking shoes and get ready to put a spring in your step—the Pokémon GO Eggstravaganza is nearly here,” said the Pokémon Go team in a post. “Get out there, hatch some eggs, and share your stories with us using #PokemonGo on your favourite social media channels.”
