Power Rangers AR ad lets fans morph into their favourite

Power Rangers AR ad VertebraeSaban, the company behind Power Rangers, has teamed up with augmented and virtual reality platform Vertebrae to create a mobile web AR ad experience as part of the Power Rangers’ 25th anniversary campaign.

The AR ad enables fans to morph into their favourite Power Ranger and teleport to the ‘command centre’ – giving them the chance to turn on a green screen experience of Zordon’s Tube and have their photo taken here.

“With Vertebrae, we are able to widely distribute this multi-faceted experience built specifically for the fans to bring Saban’s Power Rangers to life through an innovative mobile AR campaign,” said Janet Hsu, CEO at Saban Brands. “Since the ‘Power Rangers’ premiere in 1993, fans have imagined themselves as Rangers and with this immersive experience, fans can put themselves in the Rangers’ helmets to unleash their inner superhero, right on their mobile devices.”

The AR experience has been launched on publisher sites across Safari and Chrome mobile browsers as part of the ‘You’ve Got the Power’ campaign to celebrate the superhero franchises silver anniversary on 28 August 2018.
