Powered Now App for Tradesmen Hits Crowdfund Target

powered nowTech startup Powered Now has successfully hit its crowdfunding target for its mobile admin app for tradesmen, raising £350,000 in 12 days and now heading into overfunding.

The Powered Now app works on iOS devices, with an Android version in development, and enables builders, plumbers and other tradesmen to take notes and photos of jobs, email estimates that can be accepted by customers and managing projects up to and including invoicing and taking payments, with all the information automatically backed up to the cloud.

So far, 80 people invested on the pitch on Crowdcube for 20.59% equity, with the largest amount being £85,000. The campaign will continue to accept funds until 31 July, with the money raised being used to further market and develop the app.

“The response to our crowdfunding campaign has been tremendous and to hit our target after only 12 days is a huge endorsement of what weve been doing at Powered Now,” said Benjamin Dyer, CEO of Powered Now. “Tradesmen and field trade companies are one of the last business sectors to benefit from the computer revolution. This funding will help up accelerate our mobile application development to provide these companies with the tools they need.

“In fact we will now be raising further funds as we think that the opportunity is so massive we need to grab it as quickly as we can. After all, there are over 900,000 trade companies in the UK alone.”
