Qustodian Inks Gadget Show Deal

Mobile marketing firm Qustodian has signed a deal with North One Television, which produces The Gadget Show in the UK, to develop a second-screen mobile advertising pilot for The Gadget Show and other North One-produced programmes.

The trial will deliver exclusive content, including “relevant commercial content” to the mobile devices of viewers who are opted in to the Qustodian service. Viewers will be paid for reading any advertisers’ messages.

The service will be launched in conjunction with the new series of The Gadget Show and The Gadget Show Live event, which takes place at the NEC in Birmingham from 11 – 15 April.

“By incorporating Qustodian’s service principles of putting people in control of the commercial content they receive and sharing value in an equitable way, we believe that this trial could represent a whole new way to engage a TV audience,” says John Nolan, head of commercial programming and digital content at North One Television. “Qustodian is a really simple-to-use mobile engagement platform which puts our fans in control of the content they receive. Were really excited about this trial with all of our programmes and think that The Gadget Show, with its tech-savvy viewers, is the ideal launch partner.”
