Ringback tone service provider Muzicall has announced the launch of a ringback tone (RBT) programme that it says will ignite RBT revenues for operators, content providers and retailers. RBT.4.ALL enables brands to sell RBTs directly to subscribers across all networks and enable services on any device.
Muzicall has signed iTouch, a world leader in the development and marketing of mobile content, as a development partner to provide off-deck RBT services for the UK, Ireland, Belgium, Holland, Norway, Finland and Sweden.
RBT.4.ALL is a programme for operators, content providers and retailers. Muzicall will co-ordinate the launch of the service across all operators, acting as both integrator and coordinator for the programme, to support a consistent, high quality user experience to discourage consumer barriers to entry.
We see great opportunities for the European RBT market says Muzicall CEO Mark Collins. We believe that empowering the retail channels will generate a tenfold increase in European RBT revenues over the next two years. Our RBT.4.ALL programme provides multiple retail channels and new revenue streams for both operators and labels, not to mention the RBT opportunities it opens for our partners.
Muzicall is partnering with content partners to provide retailers with a complete portfolio of licensed, relevant and up-to-date content. As ringback tones reside in networks, there are no digital right management concerns. The RBT.4.ALL programme will allow operators to brand their own RBT services, extending their reach into their customers.
Muzicall is working with a number of industry players to roll out RBT.4.ALL across Europe.
