Realeyes Hires Former Xerox CTO

Realeyes3D, which provides mobile imaging applications for cameraphone users, has announced the appointment of Herv Gallaire, former CTO of Xerox, to the companys Board of directors. In addition to serving on the Board, Gallaire will act as an advisor to the company and its subsidiary company, Qipit, Inc., as both companies expand in the global marketplace. Qipit is an online service that turns cameraphones and digital cameras into mobile copy centers.
I am delighted to serve on the board of Realeyes3D and look forward to
working with the team as they further expand in the US and Asia
markets” says Galaire. “The companys vision and proprietary technology, which uses
advanced mathematics and sophisticated algorithms, distinguish them as
a clear leader in the industry.
As CTO at Xerox, Gallaire was responsible for overseeing the companys worldwide research and technology function, and for maximizing its annual investment in research and development. As President of Xerox Innovation Group, Gallaire led a 1,000-member team, including the research staff responsible for developing new technology, teams creating new businesses, and a group of patent and intellectual property experts. Gallaire joined Xerox in 1992 and managed the Xerox Research Center Europe from 1993 to 1998. Gallaire also served as Chief Architect and Vice President of the Xerox Architecture Center.
Herv brings distinct expertise to Realeyes3D, says Benot Bergeret, CEO, Realeyes3D and Qipit. His extensive industry knowledge in document technologies, scientific background and network of contacts are an enormous asset as we continue to develop original technologies and applications for camera phones worldwide. Additionally, Qipit will benefit from Gallaires insight into the next generation of document acquisition solutions, which it is developing to  address the evolving needs of the mobile professional who needs more than mobile email to be fully productive on the go.
