RIM Improves App World Search

Research in Motion has announced the availability of BlackBerry App World version 1.1. New users can download it from mobile.blackBerry.com on their phone or from Blackberry.com/Appworld online, while current users will be prompted to download version 1.1 from their BlackBerry via a red star on the App World icon.
App World is available to download in five languages (English, French, Italian, German, Spanish), and is available to customers in Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Ireland, Austria, Luxembourg, Belgium, the Netherlands, Portugal and the Channel Islands. App World was previously available to customers in the UK, US and Canada.
Users can access BlackBerry App World over both wi-fi and cellular networks, and can buy paid-for apps using PayPal. Customers can also review and recommend apps to friends and manage the apps on their device using the My World function.
BlackBerry App World 1.1 boasts improved search functionality. Customers can view the catalogue by free versus paid-for apps, with additional categories for the top free and paid-for app downloads. Search results can be sorted by newest; highest-rated; price (lowest/highest); developer (alphabetical); and application name (alphabetical).
