Mobile marketing firm Roundpoint is helping Cambridge Fun Run – the annual fun run held on Cambridge’s Science Park to raise funds for BBC Children in Need, by providing its web and mobile platform Generate free of charge.
Teams of four can create their own team sponsorship page this year with the help of Roundpoint’s technology. Teams can set a personal target, invite friends to donate online from a computer or mobile phone and monitor how much they have raised so far here.
Generate is both a viral marketing and donation platform which works over web and mobile. It enables a charity to send out communications to their supporters, encouraging them to organise events. Supporters can organise events by inviting their friends via the web and mobile to attend and make a donation at the same time. Supporters and their friends can donate using credit cards over the web and via their mobile phones too. The screens are optimised for each user’s mobile phone, enabling them to donate quickly and easily.
