Online advertising company Rubicon Project has introduced its new EMEA leadership team, as it continues its seemingly chaotic ‘comprehensive realignment of the business’.
James Brown, formerly Rubicon Project’s managing director of UK, Ireland & Nordics, has been named managing director of EMEA and will report directly to Joe Prusz, global head of revenue.
Meanwhile, Steve Wing, previously VP of global business development & strategic partnerships, has moved into Brown’s old position and will oversee all revenue efforts across the UK, Ireland & Nordics.
In Europe, Valérie Latronche has been named managing director of France & Belgium, as Sara Bulggiu – formerly Rubicon’s Italy country manager – becomes managing director of Italy, Spain & MENA. Both will report directly to Brown.
“The announcement of our new EMEA leadership team is a reflection of Rubicon Project’s commitment to the region,” said Prusz. “To ensure we are best positioned to capitalise on this market opportunity for buyers and sellers, it is imperative that we have the strongest talent and the most experienced leaders at the helm of our commercial operation.”
Rubicon’s restructuring began back in November when it cut 19 per cent of its workforce – totalling 125 employees – on the back of its Q3 2016 financial results. This would continue last month when Rubicon’s president departed along with six other executives. Furthermore, amid all the chaos, Rubicon has been rumoured to be exploring the possibility of a sale.
