Mobile network 3 has appointed Kevin Russell as CEO. Russell replaces Bob Fuller, who is to retire as he turns 60 at the end of June. Fuller has been with 3 in the UK for four years, following two years with sister company 3 Italy. Before joining 3, Fuller was COO at Orange UK.
Russell joined Hutchison Telecommunications International in 1995 and was appointed CFO of Partner Communications Company in 1999. He then went on to become CEO of Hutchison Telecommunications (Australia) in 2001. Russell has been Deputy CEO of 3UK since January 2007.
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Russell as CEO of 3 UK says 3UK Chairman, Canning Fok. In Kevin, we have a great successor to Bob Fuller and someone who I believe will be able to meet the challenges faced by our rapidly growing 3G telecoms business.”
Fok also paid tribute to Fuller for his contribution to the company.
