The Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsungs latest flagship smartphone, unveiled last week, will be available in the UK from 26 April.
The phone has a slightly larger screen than its predecessor, a lighter body and comes with a range of quirky features, including eye-controlled scrolling.
Samsungs website lists an approximate retail value of $579 (£382) without a SIM, cheaper than Apples latest iPhone, although an offical figure is yet to be confirmed. Social chatter and industry leaders have been overwhelmingly positive about Samsungs new handset.
UK-based start-up Swiftkey has confirmed that its technology will be built-in to the S4. Co-founder and CTO Ben Medlock was at Samsung’s big unveiling in New York and said: “This is fantastic progress for our vision of bringing the best touchscreen typing experience to as many people as possible.”
The company unveiled Swiftkey 4 earlier this year, with its gesture input method SwiftKey Flow and support for 60 languages now available to all app users. Medlock told us at MWC that the technology is already being used under white-labeling arrangements in millions of handsets worldwide.
