Basketball team the Sacramento Kings, in conjunction with Golden 1 Center and global ad network M&C Saatchi, has revealed a new app that aims to redefine the guest experience at the teams home arena.
The app launch coincides with the opening of the new high-tech arena, and delivers a hyper-personalised experience to users, with on-demand information, access to a wealth of visual data and exclusive video angles, as well as all the standard features for a modern sports team app.
The Sacramento Kings + Golden 1 Center App offers fans access to the Arena Remote, enabling visitors to view multi-angle replays to catch missed plays or see moments from different perspectives.
The app provides in-seat good ordering capabilities and real-time information on restroom and concession wait times, as well as integrating options for Uber rides to and from the arena.
“The app has a diverse feature set for an audience whose needs vary dramatically depending on where and when they access it,” commented Julia Bartine, vice president and director of experience design at Heavenspot, M&C Saatchis digital creative unit.
“We designed it for contextual awareness, surfacing specific content and tools based on what we can predict about users needs moment-to-moment. Ultimately, it provides a platform for a personalised experience.”
