Samsung Apps is offering discounts of up to 75 per cent until 28 December, to celebrate a successful year, in which the store generated more than 50m downloads.

Samsung is offering 35 applications at a reduced price in its 33 countries with paid app stores, including the UK, Germany, Italy, France and Singapore. Participating apps include EA’s Monopoly and Tetris Refresh, Gameloft’s Hero of Sparta, UNO, Brain Challenge, RealFootball 2010, Modern Combat and The Settlers.

“2010 was a year of tremendous growth for Samsung Apps, so it would only be fitting we thank our loyal customers by offering a handful of our best apps at a reduced price,” says Kanghyun Kwon, senior vice president of the Media Solution Center at Samsung Electronics. “We want to carry our momentum from this year into 2011, and our holiday discount promotion is an excellent way to do it.”
