Samsung Mobile has announced the appointment of Derek Williamson to the role of General Manager, for its UK and Ireland business. Williamson will be responsible for all marketing and product management, reporting directly into Mark Mitchinson, VP Samsung Mobile, UK and Ireland.
Williamson joins Samsung Mobile from T-Mobile where he was Director of Core Business. He takes up his new position on 1 July.

Samsung has also appointed Matthew Brum as Head of Product Management. He joins Samsung from Sony Ericsson, where he was a Senior Manager responsible for competitor analysis and pricing.
