Samsung Wallet Launches in Korea

Samsung has made Samsung Wallet product available to selected consumers in South Korea.

Wallet is, as the name suggests, a mobile wallet, which enables users to store their credit card information on their mobile and make payments, verified using a PIN and one-off password.

Samsung says it has signed up 30,000 Korean online retailers, and that it will be adding tickets, loyalty cards and coupons to the app in the future.

The app is initially available on the Galaxy S4, S3, and S2 HD LTE, and Galaxy Note, Note II, and Note 10.1.

Its currently unclear when Samsung Wallet will get a global launch – for now, Samsung seems to be using its home nation as a test bed.
