Mobile barcode firm Scanbuy has appointed Mike Wehrs as CEO and president on an interim basis. He succeeds Jonathan Bulkeley, who, after serving since 2006, has resigned to pursue other interests.

Most recently, Wehrs served as president and CEO of the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA). In that role, he oversaw the association’s day-to-day operations, global expansion and market development, promoting the use of mobile marketing worldwide. Prior to the MMA, Wehrs served as chief evangelist and vice president of industry affairs at Nuance Communications.
