Scotrail has launched a Windows Phone version of its live trains and tickets app, which has already garnered over 77,000 downloads on iOS, Android and BlackBerry. The app enables customers to check live train journey information, departures and bookings. The app has also been improved, allowing users to check live train running information – including platform numbers – during the ticket booking process, instead of offering these as two separate functions.
The train operator is also aiming to expand its social media presence with a 60 Days of Summer app on Facebook. The app encourages users to win family cinema passes and rail tickets every day during the summer holidays, with extra chances to win by sharing the app with their online friends.
