Auto manufacturer Seat has partnered with Spanish startup accelerator Conector to launch a specialised accelerator for the automotive industry, aimed at bringing increased mobility and connection to the new wave of smarter vehicles.

The Seat Accelerator will promote five startups in its initial cohort, providing the firms with space in Seats facilities in Martorell, Spain, as well as support and assistance from automotive experts from the brand.

The accelerator will also instruct firms using Conectors specialist methodology that aims to help technology firms achieve their goals and find investment in their sectors, developing sustainable plans that can scale up from initial ideas to long-standing businesses.

The accelerator is part of Seats ongoing commitment to innovation in the automotive sector, and enables the company to support entrepreneurs who will find new solutions for the car industry and mobility. The partnership with Seat also consolidates Conectors commitment to partnering with major businesses and evangelising the potential of corporate accelerators.

“Partnerships like the one we have reached with Conector are aligned with our vision for the future of the company to promote a mobility ecosystem,” said Luca de Meo, president of Seat. “The new economy can only be understood by collaborating with partners and integrating platforms. Accelerating startups is going to enable us to exchange knowledge and access the best talent.”

Don’t forget to enter the Effective Mobile Marketing Awards. The Early Bird deadline for submissions is 22 July. More details here.
