Mobile discovery company Shazam has launched a major new promotion with The Wombats, in conjunction with the launch of their new album, The Wombats Proudly Present… This Modern Glitch. The promotion includes a chance to see the band perform live at their Sala Apolo show in Barcelona, Spain, on 21 May, plus the chance to get a free download of their single, Jump Into the Fog, and other prizes. Go to www.wombatizer.com. Enter the URL for your favourite website, which will take you to a “Wombatized” version of that site, in which the site is reskinned with a new layout, featuring hidden images for visitors to find. Next, use your mouse to scratch off the surface of any image on the site, revealing an image asking you to ‘Click here’. Now look for the underlying image that asks you to ‘Shazam the track’ to receive a unique promotional code, then enter the code, your name, e-mail address, and country of residence to enter the competition. The deadline for entries is 29 April.
