Shoparazzi App Brings Bargains to iPhones

Mobile app development company Geocast has launched Shoparazzi, an iPhone app that allows you to track your favourite shops and brands and see when theyre discounted in your area.

The Shoparazzi service, which also has a website, draws on a database of store locations and websites and also aggregates social media feeds and email newsletters from fashion labels and retailers. The service is curated by editors who then update sales locations, says the company.

Users can set alerts for their favourite retailers and labels across multiple locations, and receive notifications when shops discount the items theyre looking for.

“Our goal was to create the quintessential shopping app – from the best sales to the best labels in the right stores.” says Geocast CEO Brad Liebmann, developer of Shoparazzi. “I wanted to be able to get advice and information while I was shopping using my phone. I wanted to discover new stores and have sales find me – not the other way around.”

Bashir Mohammad, owner of urban clothing specialists American Pie, says: “An increasing number of high street shops are putting out iPhone apps that are basically glorified store finders. People dont want to download an app for every store or label they like. Shoparazzi includes the usual high street names but is also the only shopping app that highlights the UKs best independent fashion boutiques, as well where to find some of the most interesting new labels.”

The app is available now on the Apple App Store.
