The amount of people showing interest in providing foster care has risen by 40 per cent this year, according to independent fostering agency, Fostering Solutions.
Clock Creative Communications, Fostering Solutions’ creative agency, has been working with Txtlocal to execute a national advertising campaign using SMS to provide instant leads. Clock Creative began working with Txtlocal in May 2010. A national advertising campaign encourages people to text the word CARE to 60777 for further information. The ad’s tagline: ‘Who Cares?’ invites a response, and the text shortcode enables anyone moved by the campaign message to get in touch simply, and instantly. On receipt of their text, they are called back by the team at Fostering Solutions, who can provide more information and advice. In the first three months of the campaign, Fostering Solutions received over 120 messages from people expressing their interest via the shortcode, in response to the ad campaign.
“This campaign has been a new direction for our client,” says Clock Creative account manager, Kate Bindotti. “The emotive nature of the adverts requires an instant response, and the SMS service has allowed this to happen with great results. We have plans to extend the campaign further with the use of more keywords.”
