Social media hub ShoZu and mobile print-on-demand service Touchnote have announced a partnership that gives users of ShoZus iPhone mobile application a fast, convenient way to print any photo and have it mailed to anywhere in the world in 24 hours. Under the terms of the agreement, all users of the iPhone mobile app will have access to Touchnotes service to mail personalised postcards to anywhere in the world directly from the ShoZu application. The partnership represents one of the earliest adoptions of Apples iPhone In-App micropayments solution.
The iPhone app is available for via Apples iTunes Store, from the ShoZu website www.shozu.com and from its mobile site at m.shozu.com. Later this year, the ShoZu mobile app will be available through additional app stores, including Microsofts Windows Marketplace for Mobile, Nokias Ovi store and RIMs BlackBerry App World. If and when any app stores support micropayments, ShoZu says it will roll out support for these stores.
