Siri Turns Ticket Vendor for US Cinemas

It was only last week that Apple released iOS 6.0.1 – but that was largely a bugfix, and a full update is on its way, in the form of iOS 6.1.
One of the features getting an upgrade as part of 6.1 is Siri, adding functionality that will enable the personal assistant to buy users cinema tickets. 
Siri is already able to display film screen times using RottenTomatoes, but US users will be able to buy tickets for those screenings through the Fandango app. Users without the app will be be directed to install it – good news for Fandangos market share. It remains to be seen if any other online cinema ticketing services, like Flickster, will be added.
