Six Figures for Fiksu in Download Deal with MyVoucherCodes

Fiksu has been appointed by MyVoucherCodes in a six-figure deal to help drive downloads and visibility of the discount website’s apps.

Around 35 per cent of the sites traffic currently comes from mobile and the company’s CEO, Mark Pearson, said that the app already has 2m users. A trial campaign with Fiksu in March saw the MyVoucherCodes iOS app reach number 10 in the Lifestyle category of the App Store. Fiksu said that 40 per cent of the users acquired during this time became loyal customers.

Mark Pearson, MVC CEO, said: “Were really showing our teeth by appointing Fiksu, choosing to invest further in mobile as its a proven user base and source of revenue for us. The UK has the highest number of smartphone users aged under-35 in the world according to ComScore and these are the people we want to target as we aim to increase loyalty among users with out discounts and constant hunger to innovate.”

Micah Adler, CEO of Fiksu, added: “MVC acquired more than one free, organic user for every user they acquired through spending with Fiksu, effectively doubling the impact of their marketing spend. In addition, almost 40 per cent of the total users acquired quickly became loyal users, engaging with the MyVoucherCodes app three or more times.”

MyVoucherCodes is owned by UK-based Markco Media Group and reported revenues of more than £600m in 2011.
