Sky News Launches Push Breaking News Alerts

Sky News is working with Urban Airship to deliver breaking news alerts to its iOS app audience via push notification.
Bringing it in line with the likes of the Guardian and the BBC, Sky News will now deliver instant alerts to its 2m unique users every month across its iPhone and iPad apps. 
The company is preparing to deploy this same tech during the 2015 General Election to deliver constituency results as they happen. Urban Airship already provides score update alerts on the Sky Sports Football Score Centre app.
