Skyscanner buys social content startup Twizoo

Skyscanner TwizooTravel price comparison site Skyscanner has Twizoo, a user-generated content (UGC) startup, to bring social content integrations to its hotel reviews and recommendations. The terms of deal are undisclosed.

London-based Twizoo’s six-member team, which includes co-founders Madeline Parra and John Talbott, will join Skyscanner’s over 900 strong team. They will join its recently-moved-to office in Tottenham Court Road, London, linking up with the more than 120 employees based there.

“Skyscanner aims to serve all traveller needs, from inspiration through to planning and booking,” said Bryan Dove, CTO of Skyscanner. “Twizoo’s technology surfaces customer opinions from social media, providing real value to traveller decision making. We’re delighted to have the highly talented Twizoo team join us.”
