Slack is Ready to Introduce its Enterprise Edition

Cloud-based team collaboration tool Slack will finally introduce its big business edition next week. According to Business Insider, ‘Slack for Enterprise’ will be presented at an event in San Francisco on Tuesday (31 January).
News of Slack’s enterprise version launch comes as Microsoft prepares to introduce Microsoft Teams, which will rival Slack as part of Microsoft’s Office 360 suite.
According to its pricing page, Enterprise will provide businesses with unlimited Slack Plus teams, organisation-wide direct messaging and search, active directory user group integration, unified admin tools, support for integrations, dedicated account and customer success teams, and 24/7 support. Although, its price is still unknown.
The current version of Slack, ‘Slack for Teams’, offers a free, standard and plus tiers. The free tier includes features such as searchable message archives of up to 10,000 messages, 10 apps or service integrations, native apps for iOS, Android, Mac and Windows desktop, and more. The standard tier, priced at $6.67 per person, includes unlimited message archives, unlimited apps and service integrations, custom retention policies, and more. While the plus tier, priced at $12.50 per person, includes everything in standard plus SAML-based single sign-on, compliance exports of messages, 99.99 per cent guaranteed uptime SLA, and more.
