Smaato Partners with App Annie for iOS Analytics

Mobile ad firm Smaato has entered into a partnership with App Annie to deliver smarter analytics for mobile developers and publishers developing on Apple’s iOS platform.

App Annie is an independent provider of App Store sales analytics and market intelligence. The App Annie iOS historical rankings features, part of App Annie market intelligence services, are incorporated into Smaato’s SOMA platform.

App Annie market intelligence services also provide information such as the number of downloads needed to reach the top downloads lists in certain app stores. In the US, on average, for example, you need 3.5 times more downloads or revenues to reach the top 25 compared to the top 100, and 1.6 times more downloads and 1.3 times more revenues to reach the top 10, compared to the top 25. Also, you need 6.3 times more download to reach the top 25 in the US, compared to France.
