Snapchat partners with Samsung for wrist-tracking campaign

Snapchat has teamed up with Samsung Electronics UK to launch a wrist-tracking campaign for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3, allowing Snapchatters to try on and experience the watch features.

This is the first time Samsung has used wrist-tracking technology and it is one of the first brands globally to embrace this feature which was launched during the Snap Partner Summit in May this year.

The latest smartwatch by Samsung includes built-in oxygen measurement, advanced running metrics and 120 home programmes for workouts, a sleep management function in partnership with the National Sleep Foundation, a smart reply system that analyses texts and photos you receive and gives you suggested replies, and the ability to stream Spotify.

In order to try on the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3, users must open the Snapchat camera and scan the Snapcode, or select the Samsung icon from the carousel.

Once activated, Snapchatters can choose their choice of watch face and wrist straps from the Samsung 3 range. The experience also includes a Bitmoji integration alongside some of the Galaxy Samsung Watch 3 features.

Throughout the AR activation, users will be able to tap a SHOP button which will take them straight to the Samsung website to buy the Galaxy Samsung Watch 3 and other Samsung products.
