Snapchat Sells Out Super Bowl Sponsorship

1280px-Joe_Flacco_passes_to_Ray_Rice_in_Super_Bowl_XLVII.jpgSnapchat has reportedly signed up Amazon, Budweiser, Marriott and Pepsi as Super Bowl sponsors for its Live Story offering.

According to Digiday, the deals add to a sum somewhere “in the low seven figures”, which will be split between Snapchat and the NFL.

Live Stories gather together submissions from various Snapchat users in a single location to create a story told from a community perspective with lots of different points of view, as the company puts it.

The partnered brands will run video ads in the Super Bowl stream on 7 February – and all inventory has already sold out. Thats a very different story to last years Super Bowl, when Snapchat failed to land the $1.8m (£1.2m) deal it was seeking from a single sponsor. This year, it seems to have changed its strategy in order to attract a number of sponsors, and built on the Live Story campaigns it has been running throughout the NFL season.
